In a larger church environment, small groups are a way to connect with other adults and enjoy life together in community. Our small groups typically meet outside the church building in the homes of small group members to study topics related to our current message series. Join a Sunday School class on Sunday mornings in our church building at either 9:15 or 11:00am. Each weekly class lasts around one hour. Childcare is always offered, so check out a few classes to see which one fits you best. Bible study topics and class length varies each season throughout the year—from studies focused on a book of the Bible, to learning biblical principles for managing your finances, your marriage and your life in general. We strive to offer a wide range of topics regardless of where people may be on their faith journey. New Member Workshop
Several times each year, we offer the opportunity to discover what it means to be a member of our church and why membership is important. We call it “Discover Reynoldsburg,” and the half-day session is for those who are ready to link arms with us and call this place their church home—as well as those who may just be curious about what our church is all about. The Reynoldsburg United Methodist Women (UMW) is a group of ladies who make a difference in this world. Their purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. Women are encouraged to join the UMW at their regular meetings and annual fundraisers which benefit missions. The Max’d Men’s Ministry is a group of men who gather together for discipleship, leadership development, friendship and servanthood. Men are encouraged to gather with like-minded men to grow toward what it means to be a Godly man. For a list of their study and meeting times as well as special events, click the box below.
The Amazing Greys senior ministry is for married, widowed and single adults 55 years and older. Gatherings take place every other month starting in January for inspiration, fellowship, lunch, and trips to places of interest. Topics range from Scripture to senior living. Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is an internationally recognized organization that exists to encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. You’ll meet with other women for encouragement and teaching while your children engage with other kids in our MOPS Kids program—where they will have their own lesson, arts and crafts, games, and a light snack.
MOPS is for every mom — whether working, stay-at-home, single, or married — who wants to be the very best mom they can be. Moms with children birth to Kindergarten are welcome. Join us every 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 9:30 until 11:30am during the school year. Membership is $30 per year. For more information or to register, email MOPS@rumc.org. The Walk to Emmaus
The Walk to Emmaus is a three-day experience that takes a New Testament look at Christianity as a lifestyle. It is a highly structured weekend designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christian people, and through them their families, congregations and the world in which they live. The objective of Emmaus is to inspire, challenge, and equip the local church members for Christian action in their homes, churches, communities and places of work. The Walk to Emmaus is a combined effort of laity and clergy with a focus on renewing the church through building stronger leadership. God’s Taxi is a ministry providing transportation for those in our church family in need of a ride to worship or to other appointments (in the central Ohio area) throughout the week. If you need a ride, call the church office or email firstname.lastname@example.org at least a week in advance to submit your request. Rides are subject to driver availability.
